Hi Kathy,

Really cold temps can stunt the plant and cause it to stop growing or maturing.

If you are able to dig it up and put it inside and just put a light bulb or two on it (unless you have grow lights), that would be ideal. Of course, that may not be possible if they are really big.

If not, a frost blanket would definitely help but if the temps don’t get a bit warmer during the day, it might slow down ripening. The warmer you can keep them, the better

Hi Jake, There can be genetic phenotypical variation between plants from seed that might express colors in different ways. There can also be other factors such as temperature and light. Lower temps later in flower can bring out more purple whereas higher temps tend to keep more green. It seems LED lights tend to bring our more purples also. Thanks, Matt
